Article 1 — Preamble and acceptance
These Terms and Conditions of Use and Sale ("Terms") govern access to and use of the services offered by Mocom SAS under the Sift brand.
Sift provides a digital platform for: (i) international mobile airtime top-ups to prepaid phones in 180+ countries; (ii) purchase and delivery of digital gift cards from partner brands; (iii) the Sift Care loyalty program associated with these services.
By accessing the Sift platform, creating an account, or placing an order, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms in full.
Sift reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Services after notice constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
Article 2 — Account creation and access
2.1 Access conditions
Services are reserved for individuals of legal age capable of entering into contracts under the law of their country of residence. By creating an account, you declare:
- to have the legal age required in your jurisdiction for online purchases;
- to act in your own name or with the necessary authorizations;
- to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information at registration.
2.2 User account
To access the Services, you must create an account via a valid email address and password, or via Google or Apple authentication.
You are responsible for the confidentiality of your credentials and all actions taken from your account. Notify Sift immediately of any unauthorized use.
2.3 Geographic restrictions
Certain features may be limited in jurisdictions where their offering is restricted by local law. If you reside in a jurisdiction where using the Services is prohibited or legally restricted, you are not authorized to use the Services.
Article 3 — Service description
3.1 International mobile top-up
Sift lets you transfer prepaid mobile credit to numbers in 180+ countries, with 900+ partner operators. The service is operated via our technical partner DTONE.
Top-ups are delivered in real time. In 99%+ of cases, the credit is available on the recipient's phone in under 30 seconds after payment confirmation.
- Available amounts are displayed in euros, all charges included.
- The recipient doesn't need to do anything — the credit is applied automatically.
- Sift cannot guarantee delivery if the number provided is incorrect, deactivated, or not eligible with the operator.
3.2 Digital gift cards
Sift offers digital gift cards from partner brands. Delivery is instant by email, as a PIN code or activation link.
- Sift is not the issuer — each brand's own terms apply.
- Sift guarantees delivery of the code or link. Use of the code is the buyer's responsibility and subject to the brand's terms.
3.3 Sift Care loyalty program
Sift Care is a free loyalty program automatically activated on your first transaction. It lets you earn points on every mobile top-up or gift card purchase, with growing benefits by tier.
- Tiers: Racines (0 pt) · Lien (500 pts, −€0.30/top-up) · Famille (2,000 pts, −€0.50 + 1 free top-up/quarter) · Pilier (5,000 pts, fees waived 1×/month)
- Sift Care points are not currency. They cannot be exchanged, refunded, or transferred.
- Sift reserves the right to modify, suspend, or end the Sift Care program with 30 days' notice.
3.4 Recurring top-ups
You can enable automatic monthly top-ups. By doing so, you authorize Sift to charge your saved payment method on each due date.
You can cancel the recurrence at any time from your account. Cancellation takes effect before the next due date if made at least 24 hours before.
Article 4 — Order process
- Select service, recipient, and amount;
- Review the summary: detected operator, amount in local currency, price in euros;
- Enter or select payment method;
- Confirm — the charge is authorized;
- Instant execution and confirmation email with receipt.
Article 5 — Prices
All prices on Sift are in euros (€), all charges included, including the Sift service fee. No additional fees are applied at payment — the displayed price is the final price.
Sift reserves the right to modify prices at any time. New prices apply to orders placed after they go live.
A receipt is available in your account history and can be requested at hello@sift-mobile.com.
Article 6 — Payment
6.1 Accepted payment methods
- Credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express;
- Apple Pay and Google Pay;
- Subject to regional availability: other local payment methods.
Payments are processed securely by our partner Stripe. Sift does not store any card numbers on its servers.
6.2 Payment security
All transactions are secured by TLS 3D Secure. In case of suspected fraud, Sift reserves the right to suspend a transaction and request ID verification.
6.3 Charge timing
For credit card payments, the charge is made immediately on order confirmation. For recurring top-ups, the charge is made automatically on the monthly due date.
Article 7 — Right of withdrawal (EU users)
This section applies exclusively to consumers residing in the European Union, under Directive 2011/83/EU transposed into French law by articles L.221-18 et seq. of the Consumer Code.
7.1 Exception for immediately executed digital content
Per article L.221-28 12° of the Consumer Code, the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to mobile top-ups and digital gift cards whose execution begins immediately upon order confirmation.
By clicking "Confirm order", you expressly accept that the service is executed immediately and acknowledge losing your legal right of withdrawal.
7.2 Recurring — exception
For a recurring activation, you may withdraw within 14 days of activation, provided no automatic top-up has yet been executed. After that period, you can cancel the recurrence at any time.
Article 8 — Refunds
8.1 Failed transactions
If a mobile top-up is not delivered within 24 hours of payment confirmation, Sift automatically issues a full refund, at no cost and without you having to contact support.
For failed gift card transactions, refunds are initiated within 5 business days.
8.2 Refund requests
For any refund request, contact Sift support with your order number and the nature of the request. Sift will respond within 10 business days.
8.3 Refund exclusions
No refund will be granted in the following cases:
- The top-up was successfully delivered to the number provided by the user.
- The gift card was delivered and the PIN code was revealed or used.
- The recipient number error is attributable to the user.
- The request is made more than 90 days after the transaction date.
- The user has made abusive use of the refund policy.
EU consumers: statutory warranty rights and protection against unfair commercial practices apply without restriction.
Article 9 — Delivery and service guarantee
Sift commits to executing mobile top-ups in real time, with an indicative delay of 30 seconds for 99%+ of transactions.
In case of impossible delivery, Sift notifies the user and issues an automatic refund per Article 8.1.
Article 10 — Liability
10.1 Liability limitation
Within the limits allowed by applicable law, Sift is not responsible for:
- indirect damages, loss of profits, or immaterial harm;
- phone number or recipient errors provided by the user;
- interruptions caused by third parties or force majeure events.
10.2 EU consumer rights
Per EU law, the statutory warranty of conformity applies to digital gift cards for any non-conformity noticed within 2 years of delivery. EU consumers' statutory rights cannot be restricted by these Terms.
Article 11 — Personal data and GDPR
Personal data processing is governed by Sift's Privacy Policy, available at sift-mobile.com/en/privacy, compliant with GDPR (EU Regulation 2016/679).
To exercise your GDPR rights, contact us. For unresolved complaints, you can reach the French CNIL at www.cnil.fr.
Article 12 — Intellectual property
All elements of the Sift platform (brand, logo, text, images, source code, interface) are the exclusive property of Mocom SAS or are duly licensed. Unauthorized reproduction is prohibited.
Article 13 — Account termination
You can delete your account at any time from the app settings or at hello@sift-mobile.com. Deletion leads to immediate access deactivation and permanent loss of accumulated Sift Care points.
Sift may terminate your account in case of Terms violation, fraudulent activity, or non-payment.
Article 14 — Governing law and jurisdiction
14.1 EU-resident users
These Terms are governed by French law, without prejudice to more favorable consumer-protection provisions applicable under the law of the consumer's EU country of residence (Rome I Regulation, art. 6).
In case of dispute, EU consumers may:
- bring proceedings in their courts of residence;
- use consumer mediation (details on request at hello@sift-mobile.com);
- use the European ODR platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr
14.2 Non-EU users
For users residing outside the EU, these Terms are exclusively governed by French law. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts within the appellate division of Rennes, France.
Specific EU consumer protections do not apply to non-EU-resident users.
Article 15 — Specific provisions — Non-EU users
Users residing outside the EU benefit from the general conditions described in the preceding articles, except for specific European consumer-law protections.
- No legal right of withdrawal applies to mobile top-up or digital gift card transactions.
- The applicable refund policy is exclusively the one described in Article 8.
- No mandatory prior mediation is imposed on Sift.
- French law applies exclusively.
Sift nevertheless commits to serving non-EU users with the same quality of service and support responsiveness as European users.
Article 16 — Miscellaneous
If any clause of these Terms is declared void or unenforceable, the other clauses retain their full effect.
In case of conflict between a translated version and the French version of these Terms, the French version prevails.
